Playoff picture wide open in final day

Despite losing their first two games in the Don Johnson Memorial Cup Tournament at home, the Liverpool Privateers roared back with a 7-2 win over Newfoundland Thursday night moving them into a three-way tie for third place with Newfoundland and PEI.  Cole Elliott scored a pair for the Privateers with single markers being recorded by Sam Hope, Malcom Bussey, Daniel LeBlanc, Alec Howie and Daniel Kline.  The Privateers and Newfoundland are now both 1-2-0 with Liverpool playing a critical game against Kensington P.E.I. Friday night in the final round robin while PEI is at 1-1-0 with their other game on Friday being against first place New Brunswick at 12:00 noon.  Antigonish and Newfoundland clash in Friday's 4:00 p.m. start.
